Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google OAuth. We store this email in our database (Supabase) to identify your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Anonymous device ID — a randomly generated UUID created by the extension on first install, stored in chrome.storage.local. When you connect an account at aidle.io, your device ID is linked to your email so earnings can be attributed to you.

Impression events — when a sponsored line is shown, the extension records: the ad ID, your anonymous device ID, which AI platform was active (e.g. “claude”), how long the spinner ran, and a timestamp. This data is sent to our server and stored in our database.

Click events — if you click a sponsored line, we record: the ad ID, your anonymous device ID, which AI platform was active, and a timestamp. This is used to measure ad performance, attribute affiliate referrals, and detect fraud.

Waitlist and contact emails — if you submit your email on the waitlist form or the advertiser contact form, we store that email address.

Advertiser information — if you create an advertiser account, we store your company name, campaign settings, and account balance.

Session cookies — we use authentication cookies set by Supabase to keep you signed in across pages. These are strictly functional; we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. What we never collect

  • Conversation content, prompts, or AI responses
  • URLs, browsing history, or page content of any kind
  • IP addresses — we do not log or store your IP. When you click an ad, our hosting provider derives a coarse country code (e.g. “DE”) from the connection at the network edge; the address itself is never stored by us.
  • Analytics or behavioral tracking — we run no analytics tools on this site
  • Your Google password or any other credentials

3. How the extension interacts with AI platforms

The extension uses DOM mutation observation to detect when an AI platform is actively generating a response. It does not read, transmit, or process any text content from AI conversations. The sponsored line renders in an isolated overlay (Shadow DOM) that does not modify, read, or interfere with any AI platform's content, responses, or interface.

4. Limited Use

Aidle's use of data obtained from AI platform pages is limited to providing the extension's core functionality: detecting the generation state, displaying the sponsored line, and calculating the user's revenue share. Data is not used for any other purpose.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google account email solely to identify your Aidle account — never for advertising, profiling, or AI training.

5. How your data is used

  • Your email identifies your account and lets you sign back in
  • Impression events calculate your 50% revenue share and let advertisers verify delivery
  • Your device ID ties earnings to your device; connecting an account lets you claim them
  • Waitlist and contact emails are used only to respond to your inquiry

6. Cookies

We use one category of cookies: authentication cookies set by Supabase when you sign in. These cookies are required for the site to function — without them you would be signed out on every page load. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Third-party processors

We share data with the following processors only as needed to operate the service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication. Stores your email, device IDs, impressions, and account data.
  • Vercel — web hosting. Serves the aidle.io site. Vercel may process request metadata (paths, response codes) in server logs.
  • Stripe — payment processing for advertiser deposits and user payouts (when payouts become available). Card details are never stored by Aidle — Stripe handles all payment data directly.
  • Google — OAuth sign-in. Google provides your email address when you choose “Sign in with Google.”

What advertisers receive when you click an ad: at most a one-time random click ID (a fresh identifier per click that cannot be linked to you or across clicks), the name of the AI platform the ad appeared on, and your country. Never your device ID, IP address, email, or anything that identifies you. Sponsored links lead to third-party sites that are governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to any other third party.

8. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). Data at rest is stored in Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and access controls. Authentication uses secure short-lived tokens managed by Supabase. We do not store passwords.

9. Your rights

  • Access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@aidle.io. We process deletion requests manually within 30 days. Financial records may be retained longer where required by law.
  • Portability — you can request your impression and earnings data in a machine-readable format
  • Uninstall — uninstalling the extension stops all data collection immediately; no further impression events are sent

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents have additional rights under GDPR — see section 12 below.

10. Retention

  • Impression data is retained for 24 months for payment reconciliation
  • Account data (email, device links) is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request
  • Financial records (advertiser transactions, payout history) may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance
  • Waitlist emails are retained until you ask to be removed

11. GDPR — EEA, UK & Swiss users

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies:

  • Legal basis — we process your data on the basis of contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), and consent (where you have opted in)
  • Data controller — Aidle, Tel Aviv, Israel. Israel has been granted EU adequacy status, meaning data transfers from the EEA to Israel are permitted without additional safeguards.
  • Your rights — you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your data. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • Response time — we respond to rights requests within 30 days.

To exercise any right, email support@aidle.io.
